Dental Services Arrive at Community Medical Center of Greenville

In mid-September, Palmetto Health Council opened its first Community Medical Centers to offer dental services. After noticing the need for affordable, conveniently located dental services in Meriwether County, PHC recruited Dr. Carolye Mason to provide everything from regular cleanings to root canals and extractions. Dr. Mason and her staff are committed to improving their patients' oral health by treating existing problems and preventing new ones from occurring. Over the next few months, PHC will begin construction of a new dental facility at the CMC of Greenville to include room for three dental chairs and state-of-the art equipment.

Primary Care Services in Meriwether County

PHC recently opened two new Community Medical Centers in Meriwether County: one located in Greenville and the other in Manchester. Dr. Miriam Gwathney began offering primary care services at the CMC of Greenville in October. The CMC of Manchester scheduled to open in early December, once construction of new exam rooms is finished. Dr. Gwathney will split her time between the two centers.

Renovations to Milby Medical Center

Milby Medical Center, located in Zebulon, Georgia, is one of PHC's oldest facilities. And thanks to the addition of a second provider and a pharmacy, it's becoming one of our busiest facilities. Over the next three to four months, Milby Medical Center will undergo a facelift with a new roof and parking lot as well as fresh paint, new carpet and tile, and more lights to make it a brighter and more inviting medical center.

New Facility for Community Medical Center of Carrollton

In less than two years since CMC of Carrollton opened its doors, it has outgrown its current location. In order to serve our patients more comfortably, PHC purchased an existing facility just down the street from our current location and will begin renovation and expansion in a few months. The new, larger CMC will house two primary care providers and one mental health provider.

Pharmacy of Palmetto Health Council Opening in Zebulon

Thanks to a unique program available to Community Medical Centers, PHC is able to purchase medications for our patients at substantially reduced rates. In order to pass these savings on to our patients, PHC is excited to open its own in-house pharmacy. The Pharmacy of Palmetto Health Council, located at the Milby Medical Center in Zebulon, Georgia, will fill all types of prescriptions for our patients. The pharmacy will take all types of insurance, including Medicaid, Medicare Part D plans, and private insurance. For our patients without insurance, we will be able to match or even beat prescription drug prices from other pharmacies, even the $4 plans found at some of the larger stores.

Due to the requirements of the program which allows us to buy drugs so cheaply, we can only offer this service to patients at our Community Medical Centers, so if you are having problems affording your medications, consider making one of our CMCs your medical home.
